Clear Ideas™ was created for organizations that need more than file storage and more than a standalone AI assistant. We help teams share approved documents in a governed workspace, maintain a defensible system of record, and turn sensitive information into cited answers and repeatable workflows.
The strongest use cases are external-facing ones: client portals, deal rooms, board materials, audit collaboration, investor updates, and other workflows where permissions, provenance, and engagement visibility matter as much as access itself.
Our focus is practical: keep secure sharing, audit trails, AI, and workflow execution in the same environment so teams can work faster without losing control of the record.
Our Story
Hello, I'm Blair, the founder of Clear Ideas.
With over 15 years of experience in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and transaction advisory space, I've seen how often teams outgrow legacy ways of sharing sensitive information. Many virtual data rooms were built for narrow transaction use cases, while general file storage platforms were built for internal collaboration. Growing organizations need something different: a governed workspace for external collaboration, a clear system of record for approved documents, and better visibility into what happens after information is shared.
I also saw that secure sharing and AI were starting to converge. Teams did not just want to store files. They wanted cited answers grounded in approved documents, repeatable workflows for recurring reviews and reports, and audit-ready records of what was shared, reviewed, and acted on. That opportunity extended well beyond M&A into finance, real estate, governance, legal work, not-for-profit operations, manufacturing, and other document-heavy environments.
That realization led me to create Clear Ideas™.

Teams can share approved documents with clients, auditors, investors, boards, lenders, and counterparties, then use the same environment to generate cited answers, run controlled AI processes, and understand how stakeholders actually engaged with the material.
Our approach is guided by a few principles:
